The BL showing area is largely underlain by Lower Jurassic volcanic rocks of the Telkwa Formation, Hazelton Group. A grab sample (DH12-BL01) of epidote-chlorite altered intermediate volcanic rock (andesite) with disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite assayed 0.26 gram per tonne gold, 7.72 grams per tonne silver and 0.45 per cent copper (Assessment Report 33948).
